    Ive owned this truck since new and in four years I've only done tires and brakes. Normal oil service and nothing else. It runs 100% and has never broken down. Does everything you ask of it. My only gripe is I wish the third row folded flat. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. Rides like a car on the highway and gets 19 on long trips. Can't go wrong with this truck

    Our 2013 Tahoe was totaled last week when it simultaneously struck a parked car and a telephone pole, snapping it off. I was the front seat belted passenger and the recipient of most of the force of the impact. It felt like we were hit by a train and I knew immediately after that I had blunt force trauma to my chest. The windshield was cracked and the front and side of the Tahoe were crimped around me, but between the seat belt, the air bags (both front and side) and the way the Tahoe is built are the reasons I was able to climb out and walk over to some steps while EMS were responding to the scene. At the hospital I was found to have a sternal fracture, probably due to the one-two punch of the seat belt and airbags. Nothing else except a swollen hand with no fracture when x-rayed. While a serious, painful injury in itself, I know without those safety features and the sturdiness of the vehicle I most certainly would not be writing this review today. No head injury, no fracture of the ribs, pelvis or long bones, no severed arteries, no abdominal trauma. The EMS and police marveled at the fact I had basically walked away from the vehicle. We loved this SUV and want to replace it with another Tahoe. We also have a 1999 Tahoe, still in service pulling a horse trailer or our camper.
